Face Washing

A wrong cleanser can sabotage the skincare steps that follow, causing many of the dermatological problems. We tried over 100 cleansers of leading brands with shocking results. Here is a list of products that actually remove dirt and makeup off your face.

BEWARE:

1. Not all products under a brand name work with same strengths. Be sure to pick the ones that take all the makeup residue off that's suitable for your skin.

2. Gentle products do not cleanse well. Cleansers made for sensitive skin has less cleansing agent, because it is assumed that you are not wearing much makeup anyway if you have sensitive skin.

3. Instructions do matter, so if it says to use a washcloth, use it.

4. Eyeliner and lip liners are the hardest to come off. It is best to use separate eye makeup remover to remove those.

5. If you use cake or stick foundation, you need extra strength cleanser.

6. Cleansers formulated for dry skin may contain oils and leave a residue for skin protection that in turn contribute to too much emollient build-up.
