Powdering will tone down any previous makeup over-indulgence. Simply apply lightly all over the face with the manufacturer's puff, or an oversized brush. Little goes a long way.

Good blush is determined by how subtly the color goes on and stays on. The quality depends on the shades as well as texture. Go for colors that are more realistic like rusty blends (for darker skin) and dusty roses. Stay away from textures that go on too severely.
